Fontana is very American, too. ;-)
I just used the default setup, only diminished the fuel level to 11.
An 8 lap race, full field.
I managed to qualify 3rd with my 47.95. Hulme was 1st, Brabham second.
In the race I got a lousy start, I was only 6th, I must practice these
starts... During the race I managed to be quite constant in my lap times,
and by taking certain risks at the turns I could make my way up. I was
4th in the second last lap when we met the tail. It seemed to be quite
dangerous to pass these slower cars, and only after the flag I
understood that I could pass also Hulme in the traffic! So I was
the 3rd in the final results! Brabham won, Hill was second, Hulme 4th.
So I go to the podium! :-)
And what was best, during the race I made the fastest lap, 47.67, which
seems also to be the Track Record in the main page of my California track!
And my name is there!
To me Fontana AI seemed to behave very well in F2! There were many cases
of wheel to wheel racing etc., and it felt very natural...
