Wondering if anyone else experienced this problem.
On the line at Dega, Saturday afternoon. No pace. Damn, I need
to start praticing on other tracks. Anyway, I see cars
in front of me start accelerating, but I got about a 3
second delay before my green flag dropped. Luckily no
one ran rear-ended me! Maybe this is the cause of some
wrecks at the start?

BTW, raced 3 in a row Sat.(3-15). The most incident free
racing I been in so far.

I thought it was just me or my setup! A couple of times, It seemed like I just sat on the track (for hours) and watched
the field take off ahead of me. I keep telling myself it's just a handicap technique (not). I've even gone so far as to
keep off the gas until the green flag drops, thinking that maybe sitting there with it floored before the green dropped
was the problem.

snipped:                                 Anyway, I see cars

With this in mind, it makes sense to run with pace lap on, and then everyone sit for
a second after the start of the pace lap for the car in front of you to get a 4 to 6
car-length head start before moving.

After all, with a pace lap, you're not going anywhere for a lap, so you can dispense
with the jackrabbit starts.   You should be able to run a full field this way with
no accidents.

But a lot of people don't want pace laps.  Some people think it's BORING, so
they start wrecking cars before the green flag flies... :(

Yes, it's true, Eldred.... but we can't fix everything...
But this is still a good idea for those of us who want it to work.
