Help with Cart Racing

I know this is an old game and everything, but not until recently I got into
formula car racing. Guess GPL just got my interest going. I've been playing
the nascar titles from sierra for a long time now. Anyway, I have a problem
with this game. I'm running the Hercules 3D Thriller and I can get the game
to work with the modified files for the V2x00 series cards. When I play the
game, I shut down to DOS and at various times during the race, I lose video
but the sound still plays. Anybody know how to fix? Thanks in advance.

I believe that is a bug in the Rendition code that was never fixed.
The basic rules to avoid this problem are
save your race in the warmup so you can restart if you have to.
Never EVER run more than one session or game at a time.  If you are at a
track,
stay there, don't run some laps at Mich.  then blitz
over to Portland.
As always with CART/ICR2  Marc J. Nelson is the real expert
