I needed a second simulation from gpl (been racing online 5 nights per
week for more than a year),and decided to give SCGT another try. I
downloaded both the 1.55 and advanced option patch. And the GT1 cars are
pretty good. I then downloaded the Dyson Riley & Scott MK111 car with a new
***pit. It's everything I hoped for, except the mirrors have the Dyson
Helmet in both of them. How do I get the mirrors to work correctly?

I just finished downloading the the gtinsider service pack 3.0. But when
I try to unzip the exec file,it keeps on asking for a new disc. And if I try
to open the zip file,it says that there is a error. What am I doing wrong?

And lastly, how do you change the rest of the GT1 cars to the cars I
downloaded?  As far as I can tell, all the downloaded cars are only for the
driver use.

Thanks,

Joel Willstein

The mirrors don't work, but someone is working on that.

Hmm...are you sure you got all of the files?  They are ACE files, so you
will need WinAce.

If you can see them in the Buy menu, then they are there.

  HERE'S Some of the answeres:

The mirrors you see are just for show, thats why your helmet is
viewed.  the real mirror would be where your helmet's forhead padding
would be.  the Fkeys turn on the mirror.{not sure which one, F3, or F2
somewhere around there}  The***pit artist is trying to get around a
limitation in the program.  Originally SCGT was concieved with only
closed***pit cars.  So any dash would have a roof and pillars, not
very realistic when your zipping around in an open***pit WSC.  So the
***pit was designed to try and fake the view from INSIDE your racing
helmet.  Not a bad effort I think.

   James Wolhever(Gunslinger) put the SP3.0 together.  It's HUGE isn't
it?  For some reason it only downloads properly with MS IE 5.0.  I'm not
sure why but it has something to do with way he archived the files using
a program that breaks up zip files.  I use a download manager called
Gozilla.  It enables plenty of dload options and makes getting all those
big files a breeze.  Also another dloader is called Getright.  Using
either IE5 or Gozilla/Getright, you should be able to get working dloads
of the service pak.

Are you using the cheats to enable all the cars and tracks?
choose career mode, make a NEW DRIVER(important!)
type isi-cheeseman (then press enter)   you should see a box in the
upper left that says cheat mode enabled.
  then type isi-tbone(enter)
             isi-aardvark(enter)
that will give you money and access to all the cars and tracks.

Once you've chosen a car to purchase you can then leave the career
mode and choose either quick race or career.  When you start races in
any category, then you should see all the other cars.  For instance buy
a Trans Am car.(there were no trans Am in the original game) Make sure
under career you have the trans am box marked, then go race.  All your
opponents will be Mustangs, Camaro's and Corvettes(yes and that black
Pontiac)

HERE IS AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT MODIFICATIONS!!

In the career mode you can choose to radically upgrade your car.  All
the cars in SP3.0 have ALREADY  been given fairly accurate horsepower
ratings.  The guys at GTinsider who run the GTIC league require only
suspension, aerodynamics and ABS brakes be allowed to be purchased.  If
you go out and load up your Riley and Scott with all the upgrades your
lap times will be far below track records.   Also a little Bimmer
tricked out can destroy a full works GT1/ALMS protoytpe if the latter
is  using default settings.

Your welcome.  Don't forget to try using the AoE and choosing front
wheel drive, then load up the GT2 category which will be replaced by V8
Aussie Touring cars.  Front wheel drive adds a different element to the
driving feel.{of course make sure you 'buy' an Aussie V8 first :) }
  finally,..man won't I ever shut up???\
at gtinsider, in the dloads, is file called update 1.2   grab that but
don't unzip all of the files.  Just unzip the sound files and place them
in the appropriate sound folder-- 22hz is preferred.  The ferrari's will
rasp, the MaClarens will sound like buzzsaws, the v8's will growl.  Big
improvement over the stock sound settings.
