When I tried to run the cart_new.avi file, I got an error message saying
"video not available - cannot find vids:IV41 decompressor."
Does anyone know how to resolve this? I tried looking on the Intel video
driver page linked to the screenshot page, but if the correct file was
there, it wasn't obvious.

I think you need the Intel Indeo 4.1 files from here:-
http://developer.intel.com/pc-supp/multimed/indeo/codec.htm
I also had this problem with the MS Flight Sim '98 video from the MS Web
site and installing these drivers helped I seem to remember. It might also
help to install version 4.3 while you're at it but I don't know whether
there is any backward compatibility.
