RASCAR race for 5/25/02

Just throwing out an idea or three Eldred...  How about we change the format
to a single say 40% race.  May help reduce yellows by having  longer
opportunity for patience and by the time it's crunch time we are spead out a
bit.  I know every race is different but this may help get some green laps
in.  Maybe a second planned race another day?  Last, how about we follow the
cup schedule?

Thanks E

Mitch

about 6:30 here.

I might misse them also.
Monaco GP starts a 3:30 here, then of course there's the C***te race.
What a great day for TV racing. Indy,Monaco, C***te.

Huh John??  Maybe I'm missing something, but according to www.nascar.com the
Winston Cup race at Lowes is **Sunday night** May 26th, starting at 5PM EDT.
The Busch race is Saturday, starting at 1:00 EDT.

Aren't the RAS races on Saturdays?  (hence the 5-25-02 date in the subject
line of this message)

Whats with  this obsession you Americans have to follow the WC schedule???
:-)
*Everyone* seem to want to race the same track the cup's doing....  why is
that??  Does it make you faster? or *the* race more interresting??   - I
dont get this :-))

Anyway,  I just wanted to air my support for longer races. I would also be
interrested in a '1 race a day' thing...

But I would also like to propose/ ask if it would be possible to move the
race date to friday nights instead of saturdays...
As Matt said here a few days ago... saturday is a 'social-life' day for some
of us and it's impossible to fit both into the same bill.

I thought we used to do 40% races?  Am I mistaken?  I kinda like the longer
races....spreads out the field and requires you to employ pit strategy, keep
the car in one piece, and take care of tires.

No obsession really, it just makes it more interesting as I watch the cup
guys run practice or run happy hour it kinda gives me the wants to practice
up on that track.  It's really no big deal but would be cool.  Beyond that
though it makes it nice to know where we are racing any particular week w/o
requiring a DM.

Not sure where you are Ed but Friday night in Europe is Friday AM here.  Not
many "obsessed" Americans <g> can pull it off at that hour on a weekday,
plus Eldred's boss may get quite the frown :).

Yeah, I think Saturday would have been a better day, seeing Sunday is the
Indy and Nascar races :)

The longer races, 1 race per day, and friday night races are taken under
advi***t.  How many people would NOT be able to run if we made it say, 8pm
Friday nights?
