Eldred, 8:00 pm wouild be too late for most Europeans too  - including me.
8:00 pm EST =  2:00 am CET.... and then add 2 hours of racing....

A race that starts 6:00pm EST is the latest I can attend...

And starting that early would mess up the people on the west coast... :(  There
doesn't seem to be a solution that works for everyone...

  Two races  I too am rarely off by 6pm Pacific.  And by the time dinner and
family stuff is cleared away...7:30 or 8pm is near.(11pm on the East coast)
Why do you think our TPTCC league meets so dang late?  ME!

I like the longer race idea, but Friday night 8pm would rule
out participation by most Euros with "real lives" to live
the next Saturday.
