Ok man i fixed mine, i you have to do is goto hotfiles.com search directX and
download the directX 7.0a files then it will alll work

I'm not really sure what the ***does but I think it's disabled in the
demo along with a lot of other things.
Maybe the ***enriches the fuel mixture to get more power but raises
the engine temp and if you use it too much you'll blow/seize the engine?

Other way round I think... *** the engine when you're slowing down to
cool it because you're running it lean to get power at high revs. But, I
could be wrong. ;-)

In which area's, MaX? Just curious.
I agree it needs work. Such as at the start it reminds me of NasRev, we
don't have control over the kart until it crosses the start/finish line
and half the time it's facing backwards plus when it starts it's in
arcade view, this has to change. It would but nice to have a full pace
lap under full player control or a option of standing starts.
Also at the end of the race the computer takes over, I don't like that,
I think the player should be the one to decide when the game should end.
There is some collision detection problems. One time I touched wheels at
50mph and it threw me backwards or I went through a couple walls or
other karts.
The feeling of speed could be higher. More detail options, you can turn
all the detail to low or off but there still seems to be a lot of track
side objects on,ect..
The grass could be more slippery and bumpy. Grass shouldn't slow you
don't that much but it should be hard to control.
I'm not going to go into physics driving model because I don't know how
"high" they were turned up or down for the demo. Plus the setup could
have been out of whack which made it feel a little weird or "icy".
But From what I remember of racing my friends kart it was very nimble
and precise, you barely turn the wheel and it would really move, but in
the game you can quickly crank the wheel left and right nothing would
really happen, it felt sloppy and slow. If I did that in the real kart
it would have really jolted me and probably if the seat isn't a good fit
it could throw you out of the seat.
But I do think it will be the best kart sim, but that's like saying N3
is the best Nascar Sim. ;)

Is this the game that had a "First Look" on simracingnews.com a while
ago? I hope not, I was looking forward to that one...

After thinking about it that would make sense. Make the engine run rich
with the ***and use the cool fuel to help cool down the engine.

What circuit is included in the demo? Buckmore Park?

BTW .... in karting it is common to ***the kart at the end of a straight,
by placing your hand over the opening of the air box.  The puropse of this
is to richen the fuel mixture, which helps lubricate the engine (2strokes
have their oil mixed with the fuel) and also gives better acceleration out
the corner.

Years ago when I ran Enduro Karts, we use to increase the fuel mixture to
lower the engine temps during the race. Basically you're doing the samething
with the choke.

Kenny,

Normally you would put your hand over the air intake near the end of a long
straight to richen the air/fuel mixture and hopefully keep the engine from
"sticking" (piston seizing up in cylinder). If you've ever had a 100cc
two-stroke stick on you at 50 mph with direct drive you'll know why you
don't want it to happen!

Alan,

Standing starts aren't too common in karting as many of the 2-stroke classes
use direct drive.
