I Did!! The Dummy That I Am!!
I've had problems with my 3dfx voodoo2 in Sli running Unreal,
Midtown Madness, Motor Racer2, SBK and stopped after all
these sims/games that I now can't run via my Two 3dfx cards!
I can re-run these games with my AGP 8mg Herc Thriller and
runs the Rendition chip V2200 with the above sims/games but
its extremely poor looking on my screen when I do.. I can not
use all the high resolutions and don't get the smoothness of my
Two 3dfx cards in Sli.
The odd thing is everything is fine in GPL and Quake-2 only!
Help!! [A] Can anyone tell me why & [B] most important is
how can I get back to the DirectX version 6.1 so I can have
everything back to normal?? I have too many sims & games
that need DirectX 6.1 to run correctly on my system!
{Once there is a fix for it I may upgrade but not right now!}
Any & All Help Will Be Appreciated!! And Do I Need It!

Go to Dxdiag shortcut in C:\Program Files\DirectX\setup\ It has a
troubleshooting guide and several tests you can use to try and figure it
out. Worse comes to worse try re-installing Dx6 from your N3 cd. You
shouldn't have to re-install windows.
At the extreme worst case, you may have to delete the Dx7 files listed in
the diag program and then you should be able to reboot and install dx6.
