New computer specs for me - are they good enough?

Here is what I just ordered. Does everybody agree with this?

P3 - 450 w/512 K  L2 cache
128mb pc-100 ram
1.44 floppy
18 gig 7200 rpm  harddrive
Voodoo 3 2000 16mb video card
40x cd rom
Sound Blaster Live value
Altec Lansing speakers
56k v.90 voice modem
Logitech Inteli mouse
104 keyboard
15: monitor
4x4x24 CD-RW
Win 98, Norton Utilities 4.0, Wordperfect 2000

all this for $1,640

Unfortunately this means that I will be out of the RENDITION playing field
untill they release a new card.  As I have said before, ICR2 Rendition version
is breathtakingly stunning. However, I had to think of the future with this new
PC, especially since I will be away at college for 4 years. So I decided to go
with compatibility and stability of drivers which wound me up at the 3dfx
Voodoo 3 2000 card.  I really hope Rendition releases a new card soon, but I
gues this means that I will be stuck with SVGA  ICR2 again.  Oh
well....Rendition ICR2 was fun while it lasted.
But as I said before, I had to think of the future.

pant, pant, drool, slobber in general -- oh i s'pose it's fairly nice.... <G>

for the price, it sounds like a helluvadeal, only thing lacking I can see would
be a DVD instead of CD

Why not wait for the AMD K7? I believe it's soon released and I also believe it
will outpace your ordered puter. Pretty cool of you to check our opinions after
you've ordered, though :o).

<snip>

What do you want,  a medal or something?

After spammers,  the next most annoying thing on Usenet has to be
dorks posting their new system specs in the hope that people will go
'wow,  what a great system'.
