here.
1. In my ongoing search to
simulate race conditions, I've been
trying to find a way to add more
cautions, since there seems to
be a major shortage of them in
N3. First off, I've added the
following line in hopes of the
sim throwing a caution when a
single car has an accident;
SLOWF 1
Also, I've been changing the
AIDMG line to try to increase the
likelyhood of cautions;, for
example, at Martinsville, there were 8
cautions in the actual race, so
to simulate those conditions in
my sim race (where I run 50% of
the actual distance), I
manipulated the AIDMG line to
read as follows;
AIDMG 0 23
The idea being, after the first
caution, within the next 23 laps,
there would be another caution.
It worked like a charm!!! My
caution numbers were fairly
consistent with the RT ones. This
worked at the short tracks,
but unfortunatly, it doesn't seem
to have the same effect at the
big tracks.
My question is, what, if
anything, can I do to get the same
results at the bigger tracks?
Also, would the placement of the
SLOWF 1 line make any difference?
Currently, I'm adding it in
towards the bottom.
2. Where does the game see the
beginning of pit road? I want
to be able to run the car as hard
as I can on the way into pit
road, but I'm unsure as to where
the pit road speed begins. I
think it begins with my pit stall
(the first one), if so, I should be
able to run hard right up to
it,and slide right in without penalty.
Is my thinking straight on this,
or is it different at each track?
And finally....
3. Is there a tool out there that
will let you go in and manipulate
a saved race file? For example,
one that would let you change
the line-up to match the actual
one? Maybe change the
weather settings so you can
simulate the difference between
qualifying conditons and race
conditions, stuff like that. I know
that there used to be tools that
did that for N1, N2, and N99,
and were used with the offline
leagues to set up the various
races during a season. I would
LOVE to be able to do that, as I
am currently only able to
re-orgainze the top five by qualifying,
saving the race, then rearranging
the list file, swapping the sim
top ten with the RT top ten.
Anything out of the top ten gets
too dadgum confusing.... . If one
of these doesn't exist, it'd
be a nifty one to come up
with......(hint, hint)....
-Anyway, those are my questions.
Can anybody shed some light
on these for me? I would very
much appreciate it. Thanks
alot!!!!!!!
