I think I've seen something like this discussed here before - I'm trying to
get into GP3. I'm on the starting grid, lights go green, I accelerate and no
matter what I do I spin off the track. Doesn't seem to be a problem with the
wheel setup (LWFF, new version) - driving round the rest of the track is
fine (the 'wheel pulls left' option in the controller setup makes no
difference.) From the replays I'm not being nudged from behind, what am I
missing here? Any special magic you have to use to move away safely from the
grid?

Try not to floor the accelerator?  If you are flooring the pedal, then that
will explain the wheel spin, which will cause you to spin off.

Start off using the "Traction control aid" and you won't spin.
With practice then turn it off.

Your probably flooring it while the lights are coming on.

Balance it at 1-2 rev lights and as they go out ease the pedal on very
slowly, as you get better you can do it ore quickly but for the start, do it
veeeery slowly.. in the wet it's really hard.

Also, hold in the gear button/lever (when you shift it into 1st) and let it
out as the lights go out... it acts as a clutch.

It's one of those "you'll know it when you do it"-deals... get it right once
or twice you'll know how to reproduce it.

Jan./I use 3 rev lights BTW... always better to err on the side of wheelspin
than bog down on the grid, I say.

True... need to be at 25.6fps to really be able to catch the car with some
regularity.
