LOL!

Hehe, I know GH..but your driving style is just raw:-)
Boring? I think Monza is great for online races. It really is surprising
to watch
replays, and compare them. Driving styles are very different, and still
lap times are
close...
Racing on VROC one particular race, a mate was doing exactly the same
laptimes as me,
but we nearly crashed every lap at two spots; T1 and Para.
He nearly hit me in the middle of T1, while I zoomed past him in
Parabolica.
And our straightline speeds were exactly the same...
And those were laps in the 27.7-28.1 bracket!

good stuff:-)

Yeah, same here. Maybe the Eagle could be a good choice for Monza and
especially Spa.

I'm falling asleep on those straights. It's the same with Spa. I
really don't like these tracks. Spa has some nice corners but there
are too many straights and they are just too long. :)
I like Rouen and Zandvoort much more. Online racing is of course
different, usually at Monza you get close battles for position. My
driving style is _raw_? :)

We agree again Gregor!! :-) Rouen has it's share of straights, but is
VERY challenging. And IMHO, Zandy is the most FUN track in GPL... the
Ring is my favorite, because of its complexity and just the fact that
Papy DID it... but Zandy is my favorite for fun!

Let the sliding commence!! :-)

You don't like Mosport? I really like those up & downhills. It's
really great when you get the setup right and just fly down the hill,
then two slow corners and then full throttle uphill section and a
little jump at the braking point. Great! :)

No, I just find it really hard to stay on the track. My concentration on
just keeping the car pointing the right way takes away all the enjoyment
of chucking the car through the turns. It's a nightmare for league races
where you need to stay on to win!

Oh, and Kyalami has moved up my list because at last I ran a 1m18 :-)

God, I hate Mosport!  You can never stay on that damn track, even in the BRM!
Nburgring is much much much easier than that hellhole!

Yeah, it's hard at least until you find a good setup. I won the FGPLC
there, and it was fun. :)

Congratulations! I wonder when somebody will do a 1:17.xx. :)
Monaco moved to bottom of my list after last night's NTT race. My car
was just all over the place during the race and eventually I finished
second. It's the most demanding race because you just can't rest!
Acceleration, braking, turn-in and so on. And the car just doesn't
want to keep straight under acceleration. I just don't like the damn
place! :)

Hopefully tonight's race goes better.

Different strokes, I guess.  I really enjoy Mosport and don't have much
trouble keeping it on the track - well, except for going into that last
sequence of turns after the long straight.  It's pretty tough to hit
that rise, get on the brakes as your car is settling down, and make the
right hand turn.

Now, Monaco, that's another story.

I see that the better drivers seem to prefer the more twisty tracks...  Me? I
can't STAND Zandvoort and Monaco.  I think I've done *maybe* 7 laps at the
Ring.  Obviously, I'm not that good yet.  My favorite is Spa, but I'm slow
there.  I like Watkins and Silverstone, and run Monza to build confidence... :)
I haven't done enough laps at the other tracks to comment.  I got hooked on
Starcraft, so I haven't played *any* GPL recently...  Gotta dust off the
wheel... <g>
