N3 Patch hangups

N3 Patch hangups

Is there anything OTHER than reinstalling N3 (without patch) that I can do
to stop the 'init error' I get when I try to launch? Sometimes I can't run
the game after dozens of tries. Seems like a fluke when I do get it to run.
Anyone?

Make sure you are running the latest patch. Each of the BETA patches are
time-bombed, so they will not work after a certain date.

Or....turn you clock back on your machine.

there's a telling line in your post

do a ctrl+alt+del and see is a rogue instance of Nascar3 is running in
the background...that will also create the problem you described

  Another thread dealt with this topic also.  The init error is
because your current beta patch is out-dated.  go back to sierra and get
the latest patch.  If it still doesn't work, Eric Busch recomended to
check and make sure your system date is set properly.  If that all fails
head to the beta forum and ask the severhelp.
