Will There Ever Be A Better V2x00 Patch for ICR2/CART??

Will There Ever Be A Better V2x00 Patch for ICR2/CART??

I got ICR2 up and running today.  I made the batch file to switch the
sp3d files around,
and it clears up the mirrors and seems to run smoothly, but now the area
where the track and fence
and grass are is all garbled up.  So I have my choice of running it this
way or just running
indyfast and living with the mirrors being garbled.  I think this looks
better than the horizon scrambling.
I wish there could be a decent patch for this!

I agree Scott, I'd love to have ICR2/CART running easily with a proper
fix.  However, here is one thing to try...Use Alt A to turn off the Anti
Aliasing,  This makes the tracks resemble N2 but clears the haze in the near
distance.

RENDITION SUCKS!!!!!!

People have been waiting for that promised patch for over 6 months now.
Funny how fixes for Voodoo2 games from Voodoo1 are repaired almost as fast
as they are found, but rendition just keeps moving along like a
snail..slower..slower..dead.
Steer cleer from rendition, they are a sinking ship.

My sinking ship runs the GPL demo silky smooth for less than a third of
the cost of a 2D+Voodoo2. I am going to hang out with the captain while
the SS Rendition sinks. When she finally settles at the bottom of the
ocean, I will still have some cash left in my budget for an upgrade. By
the way, how well does that 3dfx patch for ICR2 work?

As always, beware of opinions wrapped around that wonderful descriptor,
"sucks." If you have unlimited funds, buy the latest and greates video
card each month. If you are at the other end of the computer budget
spectrum, give strong consideration to a V2x00 card, especially if
Papyrus racing sims are a priority
