After a year and a half of n4/n2002 I am thinking about vernturing
on-line for some multiplayer racing.  On several of my tracks I have
adjusted some of the AI values in the track.ini file.  For instance I
bumped the AI qualifying speeds at daytona down a bit.  Do I need to
restore the orginal values in the track.ini for the AI values to race
on-line?  Can I simply comment out the modified values or does the
file need to be indentical to the server version both in settings and
comments?

If you join a server online and you have modified your track.ini file for
the venue the server is hosting, the server will change you INI to match its
own before letting you into the race. I think that is how it is still done,
unless the server is set to max security (3 maybe?) then it may refuse to
let you in...

Unless you've turned off the restrictor plate at the superspeedways, you
don't need to modify anything.  When you connect to a server, the tech
inspector will let you know if it is restoring any values (the changes are
not permenant - that is, it will not overwrite your .ini files).
