Arrrgh !, just wasted time downloading a 13Mb GPL demo to find that it only
supports 3dfx !
Does a demo exist that support D3D ??

Please tell me that the full version supports D3D ?

Is the demo anything like the full game anyway ?

You can run the full sim with a TNT/2 card using the GL patch. I don't know
if it works with the demo.

A simple lesson here is to read the minimum requirements of the demo
in the future.

No. Grand Prix Legends supports Glide and Rendition cards, but there
is an OpenGl patch available for the TNT2 cards.

No. The full version is far superior, in every way. And when you patch
the full version it makes ten times more enjoyable. And you'll never
quite get over your first on-line race. It's that good.

Well the GPL demo isn't that great with Voodoo anyhow. It looks like
ICR2 in VGA mode. Anyhow I just ordered the game online and should
have it this weekend.

No, neither the demo or the full version support D3D...the full can be made
to run OpenGL I think....and the demo is worse than the full version.

Remember when GPL was started, 3dfx was really the only game in town.
Dx3.0 was a pathetic attempt at emmulating the Voodoo. Current sims
like N3 take advantage of the more robust d3d now available.
