I'd go so far, to add to John's advice, to say that the CD key means nothing
when serving period. You need the CD key to install the software the first
time, but if you're running the install strictly as a server, you never need
the CD or CD key again so far as I know. The CD key is strictly for the
client side in NR2003, when dealing with Sierra anyway. And as John
correctly pointed out, to make sure that you don't get more than one
client's use out of a CD at any one time when using Sierra.
ID's on the other hand, can take a little bit to clear if the connection to
Sierra is interrupted or shakey. I've had times where I was booted from a
race (by the connection timing out, not being ejected) and couldn't log back
in for a few minutes because of the dreaded 'ID already in use' junk.
