Websearch, Derek.  Even sites about setting up real cars can be
useful <g>.

I would reccomend "Tune to Win" by Carroll Smith.  "Race Car Engineering
and Mechanics" by Paul VanValkenburgh is a good one also.  I just found
Smith's book somewhat more readable.  You should be able to find
information on either one of them at any of the major Internet book
stores.

Bob hit it spot on.  The physics in GPL are so good that you really need
to know how to set up a real race car in order to be "bleeding edge quick"
in GPL.  Even with the knowledge, you still have to put in LOTS of hours
of practice to be up front.

Happy Racing!

% Damn, looks like I'm a mid-field contender for evermore :o)

But, don't let it get you down.  Try some races on VROC and you will
eventually find some mid-field racers to battle with.  The challenge to
race with them (and sometimes come out on top) is more thrilling (for me
at least) than winning all of your races with everyone 10-20 seconds
behind you.  Besides, I need someone to race with, those guys 10-30
seconds ahead of me are no challenge <G>.

Not if some kind souls with the proper skills share their setups.  BTW -
I'm lucky if I pass the AI Bruce McLaren so, if anything, you'll be waving
at me! :)
