SOS for Mac OS 8/Thrustware T2 Tech Support

I am new to the group but I was hoping that someone could assist with
a technical problem.  I just upgraded my Mac OS from 7.5 to 8.1.  Before
I upgraded my Thrustmaster Formula T2 periperal & its software worked
fine.  Now when I start my Mac w/ the periperal attached & the driver on
in the extensions folder, my "mouse arrow" (I don't know what to call
it) starts jumping around all over  the screen.  During this time, it is
impossible to work the mouse.  However, when I disconnect the periperal,
everything works fine.

I figure this has to be some sort of hardware or somftware compatability
problem.  Are there any Mac racers out there who have experienced this
problem?  If so, how was it fixed?  Is there a new software update to
Thrustware that might help?

Please post to group or email me at;

Thank you!

Hmmm....I remember when I first got IndyCar Racing and my Thrustmaster for
my Mac a couple of years ago, the same thing happened to me (I had OS 7.5)
I believe an updated "patch" was included with the Thrustmaster. So instead
of having IndyCarII version 1.0 I am using IndyCarII version 1.1. There was
a software patch that connected the two. I may not be making much sense
but, in short, I would e-mail Thrustmaster and/or Papyrus. I would think
there is a patch available. I recently updated from 7.5 to 7.6 and had no
problem with this. Its just when you said that the mouse arrow was blinking
and jumping around that it brought back memories. Let me know if you find
out anything.

There has also been an intermittent "disappearing cursor" glitch in OS8
and 8.1 -- check out ZDNet's MacWorld website -- I think the question is
delat with there...
