I been having problems with online races. I disco every now and again. I
thought I would double check the disco patch. I dropped the GPL.exe on it.
How do I know it worked? I did not get a back up GPL.exe. Any ideas?

This is just a guess, but check the date on the gpl.exe file. If the patch
changed it the date should change.

The backup, if it exists, should be called gpl.exe_save.  Depending on
how you have Explorer set up it might not even be visible due to having
such a weird extension, or it might just be sorted down lower in the
file list.  Also depending on how you have things set up, dragging it
may have created a shortcut and dropped the shortcut instead of dropping
the original file.  Try dragging and dropping it with the right mouse
button instead, and then picking "open with..." from the menu that pops
up.
