I Just bought this sim at Compusa for $20. This is my first experience
with the Thunder series and I was wondering what everyone thought about it.
I'm pretty much dedicated to Papyrus and I'm still feeling my way around
EA's 2004.
What is the on-line racing like? Is it worth the trouble?
Are there sites with cars and setups besides Bhmotorsports? Also what about
any available mods? Considering what people have come up with in EA's F1
series (GTR, etc, etc) I assumed there would be quite bit out there for the
Nascar series but have'nt been able to find very much yet.
Thanks,
Timmy

I have the game. In some respects, I like the graphical elements
better than N2K3. I remember when I first got it, looking into the
multiplayer aspects: there wasn't a lot of action -- and I can't even
remember now what the method was to join games -- was it through
GameSpy?

It suffers the same problem as the F1 series of games: noticable
pauses when players join, and the netcode is much less efficient than
the Papy stuff.

I still drive NT2004 just to give me some variety when I'm learning
or practicing tracks.

There are a few people here who have the game and like it. Perhaps
they'll chime in as well.
