GTR 2002 please help

by Kevin Barne » Sat, 25 Jan 2003 04:10:59

I am still having dificulty getting GTR 2002 to run since swapping to my new
system. As stated in a previous post i go all through the menus and load the
track but then nothing happens, the load screen just stays there but never
actually loads the track.
Anyone got any ideas on this and what the problem may be.
The funny thing is when i set up my pc last week im sure itested GTR 2002 on
it and it was running. Ive done a fresh install and even that doesnt cure it

Hope someone can help

Thanks in advance

Does F12002 run?

I have seen where the tracks can take a very long time to load. If you have
not all ready tried it turn doen the number of cars and make sure the race
is only setup for one class of car and try that.

Does it look like the track is loading then nothing? Does your mouse
cursor change to a flag? If so then it's loaded and if you click on
the lower right hand corner the sim will start. However, that's not
the way it should happen. I ran into the exact same problem. You know
how I fixed it? If you go to your F1 2002 configuration program
(separate one from the main game...or the one that starts and tests
your video card) go to Advance and turn everything OFF except for the
testing of the graphics. I turned it all on and that's what killed me.
Also, you may need to turn V-sync off on your graphics card. That
makes everything run slower than molasses.
