I started a race last night and it was fixed setup.   Half the people that
joined loaded the
setup and I noticed that I had the qual setup so i exited.. some reloaded
and others
didnt.. but I as admin loaded the race setup and half did.. Those that didnt
had the
qual setup and some had the race setup..  Half the field blew up in 3 laps.
.lol  So
fixed setup will allow you to run 2 setups concurrently and maybe even
more..

I'm missing something here.  How can you load a different setup if the host
selects 'fixed'...?

The answer is simple.  Don't do that.  If you need to load a different
setup, terminate the server, and restart it with the correct setup.

I'm confused as to how this could even happen without restarting the server.
Once the server is started with a particular fixed setup and the boss/admin
leaves, when he rejoins (if he left the server running) he is pushed the
same setup that was selected at startup, correct? - Just like any other
connecting client. The only way to change which setup is pushed to the
clients is from the server setup screen, no? Once it is selected there and
the server starts, that is the setup that everyone that connects is handed,
regardless of how many times they disco and reconnect. The ONLY way to
change the fixed setup that I am aware of is to terminate the server and
restart with a different setup. As discussed here at length, even tweaking
the included, default setups does not work since the actual setup *data*
from the admins' chosen setup is what is pushed to the connecting
clients...not just the filename, not even assoicated with a filename to
anyone but the admin at startup.

Yeah, got me confused too.....only way to change to another setup is if
the boss starts things over..........and then everyone else would still have
the same, new, setup.
