I bought a Matrox Mystique today and when I tried to reconfigure UVCONFIG
for  Nascar 2 I get a Divide Error. Ive updated the bios to v 1.3. I even
tried to reinstall Nascar 2 but that didnt work either. What should I do?

Take the "mistake" back and do some research on a better card. Not
trying to be mean, just that is the worst Matrox card available.

The version of uvconfig included with Nascar2 has no support for the
Mystique. The Mystique has a built-in VESA 2.0 bios, so you really
don't need to use uvconfig.
The only reason you should want to use uvconfig, is to have the VESA
modes below 640x400. The Mystique doesn't do any VESA modes below
640x480.
I also play GP2 in VGA (320x200) for best framerate, and I tried the
latest Scitech Display Doctor a.k.a. Univbe version 5.3a to get the
320x200 VESA mode for my Mystique.
Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between playing the game with
Univbe and playing without.

Take care, have fun....

I don't agree w/Doug's opinion but I will defend to the death his right to
express it :-]
I have a mystique w/ 1.3 bios and NASCAR2 runs perfectly. I'm sorry I don't
know how to fix your problem, however I got a quick reply from Matrox when
I wrote to them about another problem i was having. Tried those guys yet?

because the card already has the VESA drivers built-in.  Check the =

Nascar2 readme file for instructions to delete the UVCONFIG.DAT and =

UNIVBE.DRV files from your NASCAR2 directory.
