Sidewinder FF wheel connector pinout?

by Wesaias Gorhonzk » Fri, 24 May 2002 00:14:42

Howdy,

I've got a problem. I recently acquired a used Microsoft SideWinder FF
wheel having an idea to create a custom game wheel using its
electronics. Now the problem is, someone has completely eaten the
joystick connector so that I'll have to build a new cable. Alas, I have
no idea about the nine wires that are supposed to go to the 15-pin
joystick connector.

Does anyone know which wire/color goes to which pin on the joystick
port? I managed to figure out that one of them (black) is ground, but
what about the others?

The same question applies also to the pedal connector (4-pin mini-DIN).
It has four pins, one of which is ground, but what about the other
three?

I appreciate any help I can get :)

Cheers,

Wesaias
