Help on EDITRPY needed!!!

by Edwin Solhei » Sun, 24 Nov 1996 04:00:00

Some time ago I got hold of Mike Corrigan's excellent program, EditRPY.
I found it pretty cool to look at the different laptimes and speed
troughout a race, so thanks Mike!

Recently I've been doing some testing at Martinsville and I've "taped" some
of my best laps. I found that the key to fastlap lies not only in car-setup
but in the abillety (don't know if that's speed right?) to be smooth around
the track. So what i now want to do is analyse my laps and here's where the
help's needed....

I would like to make some graphs out the data  I've collected using
EditRPY. I've tried and tried, but so far I'm compleatly lost!!

I would like some tips or better yet; a guide to importing and making
graphs using Microsoft's EXCEL (Office95 vers.)

In advanse, thanks!

Go to http://http.tamu.edu/~y0m9698/game.html

There is a spreadsheet templates made by Chris Drake.
I think there is also an instruction on how to import data into the
spreadsheet.

Save yourself the trouble.  You should be able to find a link at the
following URL with templates already setup for EXCEL with the graphs
already laid out and labled.

Look for Chris Drake's Excellent EditReplay Excel Spreadsheets

I'd like to know myself.  I hear you can actually take multiple laps and
put them all into one replay.  That would help since I'm just barely
breaking 100's at Martinsville after running 5 or 6 laps where guys are
qualifying at 100.5+

Download RaceTime from the address below. You can combine up to eight
qualifying runs into a single replay file and then view it to see how
the different setups and lines compare. You can also print a detail race
log showing speed, acceleration, lap times, etc. for each car in the
race.
