NL vs. GPL

Which sold more, GPL or NL?  Are they considering a sequel to either?  I
wish Sierra would look into making a GPL 2.  I'd love to drive along side
Villeneuve and Arnoux at the start of the turbo era...

Neither will probably ever see a sequel.  NL is being packaged with
the N3/CTS Accelerattion pak.  N3 has hundreds of Online racers every
night, NL has had two at most when I've been there.
GPL is a great sucess for a small community.  I don't see the pressure
to pursue other open wheel projects at Papyrus.  You can basically call
them the Nascar Store for any forseeable future.

ps...I got NL for the same reason I still hang onto CART Racing, it
makes a good track pak for my TPTCC racing and N3 road racing.

NL is more like a companion to N3.  Same *** engine as N3.  Bigger cars
that wear out tires faster.  It only has 2 things in common with GPL.  It
was made by Papyrus, and it has the word "Legends" in it.

As for the sales...  No idea.  But I bought it and love it.

They both sold poorly, which is all we need to know.  Hopefully, Sierra will
reconsider their NASCAR market and possibily open up to other non-stock
titles developed by Papyrus.

We will never have any sequel to those titles.  Maybe in 50years, who knows
;)

Unfortunately Papyrus decided to live with the purely business decisions of
Sierra, so in today's *** business it's money and only money.  We will
probably never see another historical Formula 1 title unless Sierra does a
drastic philosophical change.  But don't bet on that, especially not from
Sierra.  There is little left of pure ***.

Remember Dynamix....

A design house that brought us some truly great flight sims in the
earlier days.

Sierra disbanded them to concentrate on what? Barbie, and "family"
titles +(

LOL, it would be nice to think so....

I remember the year PCGAMER voted Half Life best game of the year, they
then also listed Best Sellers of the year....

Barbie won by a mile or one of those sort of titles...
