...to realise what a big leap in physics this thing is over N4.  It feels a
lot more like GPL (with a big heavy boat of a vehicle) to me AND it is much
easier to drive/control.

Well worth the price just for the two road courses for me.

AW COME ON! That's what some people were moaning about with N4, it drove
like GPL too much. Now you've gone and said it drives more like GPL than
N4........tsk tsk. :)

It is ironic, but it is more like GPL and easier to drive.  It feels very
balanced and predictable (N4 never did for me on a road course or when
pushing it past the limit), like the Cooper with Alison's set-up, which for
me makes it easier to drive.

Hehe, just having a little fun with all the naysayers..., but I do agree, N4
on the road courses was a pain in the rear to try and control whereas GPL
with a stable setup was a dream to drive at the glen.

Doesn't feel anything like GPL, except for maybe the FD class :)  The best
addition to GPL IMO.

Feels more like a stock car now :)

I don't mean the cars feel like a '67 F1 car...the simulation quality of the
feedback feels the same.  Nothing until NR2002 equalled or exceeded GPL in
that regard in my opinion.

Agreed.  MUCH better, in many ways, than N4.  Whether it should have been
a patch or not, hats off to Sierra/Papy for listening.

-John

p.s.  I was just having some fun with Vintook too :)
