MS FFW or Thrustmaster Force Feedback GT?

Hello,

I'm looking for a FF Wheel and there are these two I'm interested in. I
read the posts here and many reviews and articles and found that the
opinions contradict in important points.
First, the precision (I like Viper Racing...). The Thrustmaster is
mostly described as very precise, but there's a different opinion at
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
In this test, the MS FF Wheel is described as more precise. On the other
hand, someone around here pointed out that optical sensors are not as
precise as pots.
Which brings me to the next point, I'm worried about the reliability of
the pots of the Thrustmaster. This was a problem with my Thrustmaster
Formula T2, which will be a second wheel, if I can get a new pot...
I heard the MS Wheel is nearly undestroyable. But I read somewhere it
needs more CPU ressources than other wheels, which worries me because I
have an old K6-2 500 and don't want a significant drop in the frame rate.
Any recommendations?
Btw: does anybody know a german newsgroup about racing sims?

Thanks,
Bernd

MSFFW.

Durable, great mounting system, about the best pedals going.

The software works with 2K/XP, but really is in serious need of an overhaul.
It hasn't been touched in years.
