N4 Utility Machine Help

I know how to use N4 Utility Machine to change the ratings on .cup cars in N2003, but how do I use it for .gns or .cts files?? It only recognizes .cup cars from what I can see. I heard I might have to rename all my BGN cars to .cup then change them back. Is their any other way??

I wonder if renaming the file extension is an "actionable" violation of
the EULA?

   Most likely a really gifted attorney could find that merely playing a
sim is a violation of most EULAs.
