GPL Weather Options

After everyone has been posting their messages about how sensitive the cars are
to pitch and throttle input.  I would like to know if they are going to indeed
put in a wet weather option into this sim.  It would be pretty apparent that
they should especially since the old Spa circuit is included, but I havent read
anything to state that they are indeed going to do that.

Besides, after all of the problems spinning out the car in the GP setting, I
shudder to think how much of a handful these things are going to be in the wet.

Unfortunately, there won't be weather in the sim. Papy didn't have
time to do a good job simulating it and therefore left it out. Maybe a
future patch?

ACtually, here is what they told us in a certain way :

"We won't include weather variation like rain in GrandPrix Legends.  The way
we want it to be implemented is too complicated and powerfull for these days

our game-engine with better capabilities and wait to implement weather
varation".

So Papyrus will NOT imput rain in GPL because they way they want rain (Since
Papyrus and especially Mr. Kaemmer are *pefectionnist (in a good way) ),  it
woul dbe impossible to actual PC to model it.

Expect to see real rain when they will have the possibilities, probably for
the upcomming CART racing simulator. This mean rain, fog, water rivers
around the track, modelling of the different track asphalt in relation to
rain, how to correctly model a tire under light/heavy rain condition,
different weather depending on where you are on the track, etc....

I think it was also a slap in the face to Cart:PR and F1RS ;-)    (hehe)

And while they are at it they could develope a device that you would
hookup to your gameport, when you hit a big puddle, it would set off a
squirt bottle aimed at your face! :)  seriously though, rain would be
cool in a Papy sim!

Hmmm, I very much doubt most of the hardened sim ***s here could cope
with rain in GPL, let alone the everyday folk buying the thing...

The F1 Sim has an optional extra which attaches to the steering
column behind the wheel, and blows wind in your face! You could get
the same effect with a hairdryer? (Am I sad for thinking of that or
wot!!!)
