Wow well have you ever tried Nascar Racing 2 ?
Comparing NR99 to Nascar Racing 1 is both different world. The game engine
is somehow the same, but the physics are much better modeled. The graphics
engine is years ahead of Nascar Racing 1. You have access to trucks AND
stock-cars, and the choice of over 30-something tracks. And the multiplayer
is much better 1vs.1 than with N1. You even have a NROS section, which is
the Nascar Racing Online Series, an official sanctioned Nascar series run
over the Internet with over 24people on the track at the same time.
I would suggest two things. Buy NR99, or wait until this Fall and get the
new title by Papyrus, Nascar Racing 3.

The last 4 times I've gone on-line, you get in a good arena, and then
all of a sudden 10 practice races start up, taking up all the racer
slots in the arena.
Pisses me off when people start practicing in the busy pick-up arena's
when there are a dozen empty arena's to practice in.
