   Ok, thanks to David Erb my fonts are small
and GTR 2002, with no patches or add-ons, is
working.  

   Is there a recommended sequence for applying
patches and add ons?  

   When I ran the 1.2 patch it failed.  The
detail error message:

CRC filed in RELOC
GTR2002Seson\Vehicles\Automotive Racing Team\
     Chrysler Viper GtS-R_TopA_2.bmp
     Unexpected end of archive.

   The error message was copied by hand, so
it might have a typo.  

   I went back and raced a Viper, looked at
it in the replays, everything seems fine.  

   I have cable modem, should I just download
everything and try again?

   It sounds like the archive didn't extract a file properly.  Just to
double check, did you first create and drive a F1 driver, then also drive
the first mod before atempting to use the v1.2 patch?

  For what it's worth, my .rar file with the 1.2 patch is 50.0mb large.  or
in bytes:  52,486,695 bytes with 52,494,336 bytes used.

   That might be the problem.  

   After recovering from tape, I installed F1-2002
and then installed and ran GTR 2002 without driving
F1-2002.  

   Ok, small fonts, drive F1-2002 before installing
GTR 2002.  Anything else I should do to prepare for
the installation of GTR 2002?

   As you suspected, I'd done none of the steps you
mentioned.  But I had exactly the same error when I re-ran
the patch.  The patch file seems to have been corrupted.  
I downloaded it from Blackhole again, and it loaded fine.  

   Where are the Vetts?  I see sound files for them but
not on the track or in the add-in cars from Blackhole.  

   I have a  P3/600, what graphics features are people
turning down to get the frame rates up?

  That is the #2 most asked question on the Simbin Forums.  Where are the
Vettes.  The answer?  The Fia Gtr 2002 mod is based on the FIA GT season of
2002.  There were no Vettes racing in that series.  The only races the
Pratt & Miller Yellow factory vettes race at are LeMans and the ALMS series
which uses LeMans rules.  I don't beleive the vettes are legal to race in
the FIA series...they 'changed' the cars several years ago...they became
wider and longer...more of a gtp prototype hiding under a chevy skin.  So
in their current state, the vettes are not homolgolated(sp?) for FIA
racing.  
  The SSM mod has the vettes and someone made a quick conversion of them to
work with GTR, but they got so much flack about the cars they stopped
supporting them.  
   IF the SCP from RSDG.net has the gts cars, you'll probably see the
vettes there too along with the LeMans 24h 2k2 mod.

There are no "official" Vettes from SBDT.  The group doing the Le Mans
2002 mod released versions of their C5R and Saleen adjusted to work with
GTR2002.

Can't remember the URL off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure it's
one of the racesimcentral.com sites.
