Yeah, it was a little "study" called the Battle of Mogadishu.  If yer
spending more time ogling 5'10" bombshell neighbors, I'm not surprised you
haven't heard of it.

Hi Achim,

Last time Hiawatha was inquiring about the game (NASCAR Racing); this time
it's abt. the hardware.  Between us we have a happy convergence of opinion
about racing controllers: we both own Ol' Red LWMFFs w. Schumi's
ball-bearing conversion and ECCI E3000 "tractor pedals"!

Yup, I know. Did Alison also get the E3000 btw?

Jens seems to now be offering replacement cables over in his Logicorner
group. If you need one, maybe check that group and order one before he
finishes production of this current batch.

Or were you saying that Hiawatha uses an LWFF/E3000 combo?

I was taught journalism in college, and quit cold when I was gobsmacked by
the truth of the aphorism, "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach."  I
went on to become the Editors of Car and Driver, Motor Trend, and PC
Computing.  A source is whatever works for the story.

Alison is kinda out of sim racing, altho she still checks in every once in a
while.  When she isn't racing her Cobra (the best-sorted Factory 5 IRS Cobra
in the NE), she's buzzing aorund in RC cars.  (Well, not actually "in"
them....)

And "Petrocelli" ;-) Wasn't the lawyer from "Petrocelli" some low-key
editor in "Lou Grant" (the name of the programme evades me)?

Hi Steve,

thanks for the good news.

I really hope that's only because she is finally feeling better
physically (and fit for real racing) as opposed to getting bored of
sitting in front of a computer monitor ;-)

All the best,

Way over my "old-europe", pacifist head Steve, but thanks for the

There's a big difference between believing things you see written on
webpages and using newsgroups to make contact with people who have
specific expertise or interests.

The latter appears to be happening here.
