Amen to that!!!  I'd love to drive a Chaparral around these
tracks against the Bruce and Denny show.  Just think of
how deep you could go into those corners with a movable
wing!  Unfortunately, their reliability was on par with
the Eagle and the Lotus.  And if they'd have Riverside raceway
(where I saw many Can-Am races as a kid), life would be complete.

When GP2 came out a couple of years ago, I wrote to a friend
saying "Wouldn't it be great if they had a Jim Clark era F1
simulator and a Can Am simulator?".  Well, half of my wish has
come true ....

If I ever saw the GPL engine with Ferrari 250 GTO's,(early 60's),
racing at the Nurburgring... I think my brain would explode. Few cars
had such beautiful design ,, and performance.
(GT-40's would be next on the wish list.....)

Hmmm.  This is a good idea.  That would be great for running on-line
championships and the like.

Ok, Papyrus.... do it! :-)

I was thinking about this last night...

I'd love to see a sim using the GPL engine, but based on either 89/90 F1
season. The style of the cars would make for some great racing,
especially online, and it still fits in with the Legends tag
(Senna/Prost etc.)

Yeah, then I would like to be Mansell :-)

I would love to see them model more tracks, then model the 195x's pick
one year...but driving some of the front engined cars would be
outstanding

Hmm...  Before we get too high on our horses, Papy did choose
Rouen over LeMans for the sake of  a better (if less historically
accurate) driving experience.  So, let me add to the pointless
wishlist!

1.      Early 60s British touring cars!  Jim Clark in his Cortina
going up against the Ford Galaxies!  Minis in the midfield!  We've
already got Silverstone, after all...

2.      Sportscar '55!  SLRs vs. D-Types!  Does the air brake beat
disc brakes?  Ferraris, Aston Martins, and Porsches!

3.      People have already brought up CanAm, but I'll bring it up
again, anyway.  Ditto for GT40s vs. P4s (or Cobras vs. GTOs).

Of course my impossible dream is a simulation of the entire
Mille Miglia.  Now that would be half a day well-spent!

The great thing about GPL -- as I understand it -- is now the underlying
physics are in place it should be possible to "bolt on" spoilers, new
engine distributions, etc. That's how N3 will be built, I think. Maybe we
could convince them to release some code so enthusiasts could tweak the
cars.

Can't wait for the real-physics Tractor driving sim. Online ploughing
competitions would be *so* coo... ok, maybe not ;-)

YAH!! Mini coopers! can ya imagine what 130 mph + must have felt like in
one o those!

Well Tractor pullin is popular in some places LOL.  Or did the same
people who brought us Tractor pulls find monster trucks more fun....

Agree.
Plus the ability to tweak the cars properties so that you could
accurately simulate any form of GP racing. Imagine the laptime you
could get at Spa or Monza with an early 80s ground effect turbo car...

With a smiley on the end of your message you have no chance to be
Mansell. Get a couple of moans in there and lose the smiley and we
might think about it... ;-)

Cheers!

Yes, yes, yessss!!!! The "if you have more than three wheels on the
ground in a corner, you're doing something wrong" class. :)

How 'bout the Carrera Panamericana, once we're at it? :)
