There's a tool either in the GP-2 directory on your HD or on the CD that
configures GP-2 to use port-4.

I had the same problem, but I reconfigured my Modem to use port-2. Doom etc.
don't have a utility to use port 3 or 4...

Look on the gp2 cd for a file called comsetup.

Copy it to your gp2 directory, and when at the dos prompt type "comsetup
/h"
and it will display a help file.

Basically you need to use comsetup to fool gp2 into thinking your com 4
port is in fact the com 2 port. As gp2 has problems connecting to any
port other than com2?

The only other solution you may have is to reconfigure your modem to use
com 2.
