OK, what's up with my wheel in GPL.

I got back into GPL recently and pulled out my good old red wheel. Plugged it
in, loaded the latest Logitec drivers and I can't seem to select separate axis
brake and gas! Messing with the profiler did not help.

Now in the 68 mod, it's showing up too many axis, and basically the wheel is not
working right.

Nothing wrong with this wheel, and it has the BB modifications, it's a great
wheel! Always worked perfectly before...

Has anyone else had this trouble, is there a fix?

Same here. What I do to fix it is disconnecting the cable on the
wheel, wait a second, and reconnect it. That way I've separate
axis again. I guess a more permanent solution would be an entry for
GPL in the profiler software, but I didn't try it yet.

Cheers!

The latest logitech drivers no longer support the old LWFF. Check

I've struggled with mine since a fresh Windows install (my HD dies). I now
have combined *and* separate axes in GPL and have to faff about to get it to
choose the split axes. It's fine in all other games.

I also have sound problems in GPL only - the in-car engine is running at
something like 2x frequency. It sometimes starts off OK but then goes wrong
after a collision.

I had the same thing with mine (Win2000Pro here). I finally gave up and
now just use a black Momo.

Even if you just use end up using the combined axis, some of the newer
games send too much FF information for the old wheel to handle. Live for
Speed made my red Logi do some really crazy oscilations if I turned the
ingame force levels to anything over 15-25%.

Everything you need to get the older LWF & LWFF wheels working in XP,
including separate pedal axes, is at:

Grazie to Tom at Logitech!

Yes, thanks Tom, and you too Steve, you're a lifesaver. I didn't put the ball
bearing Kit in this wheel to sit it on a shelf!

Well, Need for Speed sucked, the menus kept moving, but hopefully GPL and the
important games will work fine.
