I've seen these types of GPL camera's in a couple of the GPL Mpeg movies
but I haven't a clue how to do such a thing...
The default TV camera's are located in a fixed position and are focused
on a fixed part of the driver selected. You can zoom and tilt the cameras
as well as have them placed in another fixed position. However, that's all
the editing I've found you can do.
The movie you have here, the camera's are not fixed in one position
and are not focuses on any part of a driver. example, the Silverstone and
Spa TV camera's appear to be fixed on a helicopter and can change focus
points as if you were using a joy stick to manipulate the camera/helicopter.
How the hell is that done!?!
I have many replays where I'm focused on one car with some exciting
action, and a second later there's action with another car up ahead.
currently I have to switch driver focus and switch camera's to get the right
angles I want. and that takes a lot of time all the while the action of the
second car is going away. Your non specific focus points suggests I could
simply use a joystick and watch both cars by moving the fixed camera
positions smoothly as if I'm a camera man in real life.
Hope I'm explaining things right. another example is the roll bar views
in your application. I can switch from three different views but each one
is switched as if I'm switching camera's instead of smoothly moving one
camera on the fly. There has to be a way to do this obviously, so just how
is it done!!??!!

BTW: The utility you have here does show a LOT of promise and I'll be
using it quite often :-)
