Downloaded it, and have had lots of fun racing at Road Atlanta and the old
Sears Point. If it came out before the GTR mod, it would have created much
of the same HOPLA I'm sure.

Hats off for a job well done!

The only issue I can come up with this far, is that there seems to be some
fairly dramatic flat spots in the torque curves of all the engines. At high
RPM, they suddenly feel like they develop a misfire for 500RPM, then come
back on song.

Been waiting too long to drive these cars in a sim! :)

It's decent but it's hardly in the same category as GTR in terms of
physics/realism.

Well, I think the SportsCar mod is a ton of fun so I can't knock it on
those grounds.

Convincing, I dunno.  ISI's Sears Point induces vomiting tho.

RSDG does good work.  I'm always impressed with their***pits.  The
cars seem to have more grip than the GTR cars.  But then again, maybe
the LMP's do have more grip??

Yup. Superior in all areas; aerodynamically, less weight, far better
chassis, more tires. At a track like LeMans the top GT 550s were no match at
all for the LMP675s, not to mention the LMP900 cars. Like a beetle and a
Porsche....
It's all about proper racecars versus converted road cars :)

True but in 2002, while still much slower in overall lap times, the
Ferrari 550 was the absolute FASTEST of the cars in a straight line.  The
top Mulsaane trap speeds were turned in my the 550.  Of course it didn't
last...:)   The LMP's have a big handling advantage...they are very very
low and wide.  So their cornering velocities are much higher than the GT
and GTS cars can achieve.  But as others have noted...the SCR cars are a
little too fast.  They are topping out, in high-downforce ALMS trim, at
speeds faster than the Low-drag LeMans equivilents.
