RASCAR: we ain't dead yet...

by Jan Verschuere » Tue, 26 Aug 2003 09:53:30

To give Mitch and Dave credit where credit is due, there is no one voice
that can proclaim the end of RASCAR.

However, regardless of how abrasive John Simmons may appear to some, he
still remains the only one who has shown any interest in shepparding<sp?>
the madhouse that is RASCAR and, to date, on the face of it and IMO, he has
done nothing totally objectionable in the context of managing an online
racing series.

I therefore put it to you. I am willing, without recompensation (although
contributions will be welcome), to provide a venue for RASCAR competition to
continue on John's current terms.

I encoure those who are willing to continue racing to post in reply to this
message, in order to pull John over the edge and get on with it.

One condition: when I'm paying the bill, John calls the shots. No bullshit.
It has to stop sometime.

Jan.

I'm in.
If I thought my connection would hold 30 or more, I'd volunteer it.

Just read the web page. Have you discussed this with John? Or, are you still
willing to do this John?

Good for you Jan, I couldn't agree more. If you can pull it off I think
most of us would happily contribute. Nascar isn't a democracy and I see
no reason Rascar should be.                         Jerry

I'll continue to race RASCAR.

I'm thinking John went over the edge long ago.  Maybe at Watkins Glen with
the automatic transmission.   :-)

<snip>

I've always considered myself to be a "bit" more of a leftist, libertarian
then John ( not my fault; I'm Canadian ) but have had no problem with his
ruling the roost at RASCAR.

Actually I like his sense of humour and the great paint job he did for me.

I would like to be included, provided that I didn't earn enough demerits in
the Bristol Night Race to be banned for life.
