Just came across this site -- can your model do this?  Take a look at:

     <http://www.racesimcentral.net/;

The modeling (non-realtime, of course) was done in Fortran on an IBM 360.
3-d vector graphics with a "panning camera" were filmed frame-at-a-time off
a tube and played back in realtime with a movie projector.  When the driver
hit the marks (position and speed) the visual correlation between animation
and reality was excellent.

I watched several of the development jumps when I was in high school...
The Bond car is still at JM Productions, south of Buffalo, NY USA.

Very cool.  There's a section on this in your book, right?

My model can't do this accurately yet because I'm still using a Euler angle
simplification for rotation, without the correct matrix/quat methods to keep
angular momentum conservation in the system.  In other words, my car won't
rotate/tumble correctly once it leaves the ramp.

I think I'm not too far off from being able to do this though, although I
wouldn't want to drive the real thing through the spiral jump!  I've got a
buddy that's crazy enough to try it though :-)

Gee, I don't know. :) One of the first goals of my Racer was to
recreate a sort of modern Stunt Car Racer. Although with these kinds
of stunts, you sure have to build in some arcade features to not get a
total-loss car every time!
Should work in principle though; I've got quaternion rotation,
although the carcam's might not hold up trying to follow the car.
Nothing a trackcam couldn't fix though.
If somebody feels inspired to do a little track on this with Max or
something... :)

Cool stuff. Dukes of Hazzard style, only better.
