THRUSTMASTER vs AUTOCOCKPIT

I finally managed to have a look at the Thrustmaster rudder pedals (139 bucks
at CompUSA). That was the only T that they carry. Obviously that pedal
set is NOT meant for the control of a car within a driving simulation.
I rather drive in my WC with the keyboard!

Do Thrustmaster produce a different pedal set for that purpose? What is the
name of the contraption, if any? Who carries it? Finally has anyone out
there put his/her hands ... and feet on an AUTOCOCKPIT?
At the local CompUSA or Best Buy they have no idea of what the product is.
BandC were allegedly weeks from start shipping it some weeks ago.
I have not seen it anywhere, nor has anyone on this medium made any comments
on the product. Has anyone seen a report on the item on some of the magazines?
Any other suitable pedal sets ACTUALLY ON THE MARKET??
Still pedal-less.  Cheers, gfg

[stuff deleted]

Thrustmaster makes a device called the T-1 strictly for auto simulations.  The
T-1 includes a steering wheel, gear shift, accellerator pedal, and brake pedal.

I am not sure who would carry it at your location.  Your best bet would be to
contact Thustmaster and ask them.

I don't profit from  pushing the following ad, nor am I looking for a place in
heaven, but if any of you ARE interested in the Thrustmaster Formula T1
driving wheel for use with Papyrus' IndyCar Racing or Microprose's World
Circuit, I am posting the following information.  Many people in our racing
series are extremely pleased with it's performance.

Thrustmaster Formula T1:

Chips & Bits
P.O. Box 234
Dept 10072
Rochester, VT  05767

800-699-4263

The Formula T1 is currently going for under $110 there.  Then you add
only $2 S&H, and $4 for Overnight (2nd Day) Airbourne Express delivery.

IN ADDITION:  Right now, they're offering a free game with any purchase
over $60 and $100.  The games listed in the $100 package are as follows
(the number following the title is the disk format, 5.25", 3.5"):

Airborne Ranger  5.25"
Mercenaries 5.25"
Command HQ  5.25
F15 SE 2  5.25"
M1 Tank Platoon  3.5"
Megatraveller Zhodani  5.25"
Red Storm Rising  3.5"
Battles of Destiny   3.5"

I've only heard of the last two, and they weren't bad.  In all, they're
nothing special, but hey, I bought my T1 for a little more, and nothing
free.
