They haven't released it yet.  But the website says it "should" be out some
time today.

I see someone is uploading the add-on to alt.binaries.simulations.autos

Is it possible for someone to upload the add-on tracks, too?  I can't access
that site at all.

Thanks,

Alanb

I had a few problems getting the mod dloaded, but that has been
overcome.  Here's the quick and dirty..no racing yet, just a few laps.

The graphics on high or full are stellar.  I easily overwhelmed my GF3
by cranking up the high detail***pit settings. Sounds are ok, pretty
close to what I expected.  The physics seem a little relaxed from GTR, not
quite so bouncy.
The installer needs Microsoft .Net installed.  This was only mentioned
today...and the tracks needed also could have been mentioned sooner.  I
seem to have the wrong versions of both the day and night Le Mans and
Laguna since the installer missed those.  However...the OLD version of
Sears is back..Man did that bring back memories...We raced the old version
with all the TPTCC mods/patches back with N2 and N99.. the old track is a
much better configuration.
Simbin and RSDG & SSM keep trying to re-invent the front ends of these
mods, at least that keeps us on our toes.
I'm not worried about all the the tracks getting installed, I'll track
down the correct ones and redo the install if needed, The ai at Sears was
fast and at Sebring very slow(over 3 minutes perlap)...again probably just
not having the proper verison of the base track available for the
installer.
My dloading problem came from using Mozilla as my browser.  The
Brakecheck site was the fastest mirror, but I kept getting corrupt zip
files when I used the Mozilla downloader.  I switched to IE6 to re-grab the
file and it worked without errors.
A good effort, Perfectly timed release with Le Mans this weekend,
while these are not the exact same cars and drivers at Le Mans, the ALMS
series does have the same rules and thus the same chassis'. Like the Audi
and Caddy's and Panoz.  They left out the GT and GTS cars...I'm wondering
if those will be added in at a later date..perhaps when the mods are all
converted over to F1 Challenge instead of F1 2002.

I did successfully install Le Mans and Road Atlanta 3.0 after I installed
the Sports Car mod.  The readme did say that you should install these and a
few other tracks so that they could be correctly copied over.  I did not do
this and still had no problem.

And, again, the mod has been posted to alt.binaries.simulators.autos for
those having problems finding a fast server.

says...

A big THANK YOU to whoever uploaded it to a.b.s.a

Those of you out there that don't know/too intimidated to learn how to
grab binary posting from newsgroups, you really really should take a few
to figure it out. It is well worth it, IMO. No 'membership' signups, no
popups, no adverts, no overloaded servers, no waiting in line.
