Some thoughts about GP2

After trying out GP2 for a few hours, I thought I'd share some
impressions with you all.

1. It's a really STUNNING game, Geoff did a great job.
   It WAS worth the wait.

2. The hardware needed to run it with most of the textures
on and still reaching a good framerate is not from this
world. No matter how bad you desire stunning graphics the
framerate is what counts, so experience. I have a
   P150 w/ 24 Megs of RAM, 256k burst cache and a Diamond
3200 w/ 2 Megs of VRAM and I had to cut back alot on those
   details...

3. The gameplay is still there but you will soon notice that
it's now much more a simulation than F1GP ever was. Even on
rookie level you'll soon find yourself at car setup menu,
trying to make adjustments to improve that tenth position
   at the grid.

4. The computer AI seems to be improved alot but it's strange
that when you're on a slow lap and try to let another car
overtake you, it doesn't seem to know what to do. This was
also a "feature" in F1GP and it strikes me as quite odd.

5. The manual is excellent and I suggest everyone take a good
look at it before even starting a practise lap.
