Some interesting things in GP2.EXE. Maybe you can find better ones :)

Senna? Interesting. I wonder how this affects anything, or
where the name would appear? Maybe it's a default set of
names in there that you might see as a kind of "spare
driver" when viewed in some kind of teams editor? Hmm...
This is also an area where the teams info is, so hopefully
some coding guru will get to work in there and give us a
righteous Helmet/Teams (Car *body/Wing* Editor?) utility
such as happened with those classic F1GP editors! :) This
must be the first priority for any "add-on" - the weather,
extra tracks and so on must surely be secondary to this.
I mean... I can enter my name in the driver info area,
but I've got to "borrow" some other guy's helmet!!!! :)
(Not to mention have to drive for someone elses team)
I think I'm too used to driving with my personal helmet
and car colors for *ages* now with F1GP/ICR/ICR2... and
now it all seems retrograde to have to "make do" with
the default drivers and teams! I can't feel "settled"... ;)
I think the *official* upgrade would be good if it has;
1) ALL the F1 circuits in the world, built for us. So
that way we could choose the 16 or so circuits from a
MASSIVE track database on our harddisks! We should be
sorted for a few seasons to go then and not worry about
"if" (heh, they ALWAYS change) it's different next year,
and the next...
2) Variable weather in any race (obviously a must).
3) If Microprose can do a good job of it, then we want
a complete teams editor/paintkit. We don't want constant
"upgrade disks" with ever changing teams every year - we
want a paintkit and driver attributes editor so we can
input the data and edit our helmets ourselves, thanks!
If possible, a car bodyshell editor would be nice, or
at least changing if the car has a "raised or lowered"
front wing - aren't they ALL raised now? I'm convinced
there's a hero out there working on this right now! :)
Keep your *** hot,
Klatu
