GPL - 2 Installs, questions

by Mark » Thu, 24 Jun 1999 04:00:00

My new PIII450/V3000 comes on Friday (YAY!!!!!).  I've bought it just for
GPL.  Man, I -love- that sim. Anyway, is it possible to have two separate
installs - oner for all of these fantastic 3rd party extras (V3 fix, extra
tracks, proper drivers and cars) and the other 'pure' and only officially
papy patched - in case the mods affect v1.1. What registry issues might I hit
by doing such a thing?

TIA

I have 3 separate installs for GPL for 3 different leagues I race in.  Not a
problem at all.

I didn't really do three separate *installs*...just one.  Then I copied the
folder over to two other locations and renamed them.

Excellent.  Thanks for the copy rather than re-install tip.

Yes, no problem. Just rename your first installed GPL folder, or the
install prompt won't come up from the cd-rom.

So far: apparently none. But who knows with these things...

Good luck,
Leo
