Hello race guys,
I got all e***d and downloaded the new SODA off road demo, and I
can't get it to recognize my Rendition card.
I have a Rendition Verite Reactor 4MB 1000 PCI card, and the game says
that it supports the - Intense 3D 100 from Intergraph -,
I went to Intergraphs home page and downloaded some new drivers (the
game needs the newer versions, with Redline support) and all I could
find was this Intense 3D 100 stuff...
Well, I loaded the game and installed new drivers (following
directions and everything) , took them out, installed the rend.
drivers that come with the demo, took them out, and nothing seemed to
work. I've spent all morning and afternoon just trying to get my
display back to normal.
I can get the game to play in un-3d, but that's it.
So my question is... Is my version (my card) really that outdated
already? It seems like it should work, if I'm missing something
obvious, please help!
Thanks
Raevyn
ps: oh yeah, impressions of the game.
I'm a big racing sim fan, and I'm familiar with the majors out there,
so I have a certain trust in Papy...this SODA game could be really
fun, a lot of new territory here..
The steering seemed to be incredibly touchy, and I'm used to GP2, even
when I recalibrated at different distances it was spinning sideways at
the drop of a hat..
If the bounciness, and side to side motion in the final version can
match that of Interstate 76 (and it's not even a sim, technically),
then it'll be right on target, in my opinion...
So far...all I can say is: More Mud!!! The more dirt pixels and junk
flying around the better, after watching SODA on tv, (getting ready
for the game you see) that's what has struck me most about off road
racing, it's a mess! Releasing this game with minimal dirt spray would
be like releasing an off-shore ocean racing game without huge water
spray everywhere.
Just my thoughts.
and if you can help with the display problem above, Please do...
thanks!
