My 486 DX2/66 with 32 MB RAM and SPEA V7 Mirage VLB card does 16 fps with
most details and textures turned off in VGA. On the one hand, it still
looks better than F1GP because of the textured cars and their movement
style, but on the other hand it looks very "pixelated" (that may be due to
my 17" monitor) in VGA.
But if you have driven it once, you will not care about the fact that
you'll never get the full graphics. I can tell you that the feeling is so
incredibly cool that you'll LOVE it, even with low detail. Though you
might just *try* SVGA in full detail to get some "stills" (ha ha) of what
it looks like with all details. And then you'll just *need* that new
Pentium...
Buy it. Don't care about the low detailed graphics on a DX2/66. Buy it.
It's still great.

Hey man! Not a single soul interested in THAT. I want to know how it performs on
a DX2-66  ;-)

Anyone out there?

I think struggling unless you  run in vga and turn off lots of detail.  my
p100 with 16meg runs vga great but  svga only with lots of detail off..

Do you think a 486dx2 50 can run GP2 adequately in VGA?  I'm more
interested in driving than in the scenery.  I run prox 50% occupancy at
15 fps in World Circuit and prox 110% at 25 fps.

I run it on a DX4-100 with Stealth 64 PCI and it runs good enough in VGA with
all details except sky on, at about 14 fps. It runs good enough to be ***ed
like hell and play it all night long, 25fps would be nice of course, but hell,
it'll come in time!
