I'm pretty firmly of the opinion that all the cars have their place
(well, except maybe the ZR-1, which I'm not overly fond of), depending
entirely on what track you're running.

There is also the angle of handicapping- if you're playing multiplayer
against someone with a lot less experience, take the RX-7 or NSX and give
him the Supra or even the 512TR.

I'm a pretty big fan of the 512TR on faster courses like Rusty Springs
or City, but when you get on a course like Alpine or Vertigo Ridge, a
slightly slower car is simply easier to handle (not sure how this would
apply if the game could do some sort of analog steering on the
keyboard... my main gripe about this game is the "on/off" steering and
throttle).

Boy, talk about struggling to get out of it's own way...

R&T does 5th-wheel tests on most of the cars they do comprehensive tests
on in the first place, it doesn't seem like it'd be too tough to plug the
values into the various places and...

Of course, I'm not a programmer, so...

Actually, it was a ZX-9R, but you were close...

Yeah, I'd love to run a ZX-11 against the 512TR... Let me do the things I
have the good sense not to do on the real roads on my wimpy little ZX-6...

But of course, the computer would STILL come in right behind you. The
computer adjusts to compensate for your own level of skill (or
sucktitude, depending...). Ever seen an NSX hit a top speed of 162 MPH on
Rusty Springs? Try a head-to-head against the computer with you in the
512TR and the computer in the NSX.

I'm afraid we'd have to- probably kind of a limited appeal. If x people
buy the game, only x-y people would buy the add-ons. Now, if x was a
sufficiently high number...

Depends entirely on how the game is coded. I assume it'd have to be
patched to allow the game to read info from any car files that happen to
be in the car directory. As it is, it's hard-coded to only look for the
specific models.

I'm not sure about a track editor. It's not as simple as a tile-based
track system like Stunts (for example) used. The 3-d scenery would be a
little bit hard to code for Joe User. I believe on the box or in a promo
or something I read something about EA using SGI renderings for the track
scenery. Too bad for the editor idea, but very cool for the game itself...

The car editor, however, would be pretty cool. Just max out all the right
values and min out the right values and...

Though you'd also have to include code to handle front wheel drive... hm.

There is no such thing as a Bugatti EB110 GT Super Sport.  There is a
Bugatti EB110 SS.  The SS doesn't stand for Super Sport like most
people think.  It stands for some Italian words, or something.

Hey!  Smile when you say that!  Actually the real question is why didn't
they use the 911 Turbo?  Now that would be hot!  And since they're including
***s, what about the 959?

Also, I like the fact that the 911 is tail heavy -- sometimes you can slide
around corners using oversteer....

I have to agree about the RX-7, though....

Yes indeed.  How about a 916 or one of the Grand Prix 500 bikes.  Scary!
As for new tracks, how about the Isle of Man TT circuit.  There certainly
seems to be a lack of such two wheeled thrills in games.  Maybe designers
feel that not enough people ride bikes these days and so they wouldn't be
interested in a game.  I would certainly fork out for a motorcycle verion.:-)

Graham.

Street cars would be nice. But, if they toss in one of the
following then I'd be thrilled :
      Jaguar E-Type
      Jaguar C-Type
      Jaguar D-Type
      Jaguar XK220
      Jaguar MkIV
      Jaguar XK140
      Mustang Cobra
(hmm, how'd that Ford get in there ?)

Nobody mentioned my favorite (not because of the performance necessarily), the
Porche 928S. And how about the Dodge Stealth. For that matter, how about a
disk every year with the '96 cars, or '97 cars, etc.

Hi there,

I must be very dim. I have sat infront of my computer for an hour or 2 and
still cant see anything in the credits! I have tried putting a few of the
programmers names instead of mine. I have listened to voices ( that arent
usually there (-: ). Hmm, is there a FAQ? Please give me a few more clues, I
am going nuts... ;-{

My 20 cents worth for the cars:

        Plymouth Acclaim
        Plymouth Voyeger(sp?)

I rented these cars while in the states. Ever done 100 mph in a van? SCARY!

I would like to see some supercars in there. F50 would be good, an IMSA
perhaps, or a 962 Porsche. A go kart would be kewl....

See ya's!

When I play and drive by that light blue Honda CRX I wish I could jump
out of whatever "supercar" I'm in and drive the Honda.  At least in
that I'm familiar with the dashboard and turning capabilities.

But then again, I'd probably wind up with a CRX HF.  Bleeeech!  :)

Nah, If they are gonna release more cars/tracks i'd love to see the
following:

1) Mclaren F1 (PLEASE!)
2) Jaguar XJ220
3) Buggatti EB110 (i think thats it)
4) ASTON MARTIN VANTAGE (2xSupercharged V8 Please,Please)
5) Ferrari F40/F50
6) PORCHE 911 TURBO (1-60MPH = 3.7secs)
7) LOTUS ESPRIT S4S
8) FORD MUSTANG Saleen-351 Pace car :)

Then they could add some new tracks, Some differn't weather, + Night time
like the LOST VEGAS track. Add some road blocks and cop Bikes, add a Front
Camera View, Enable the Joystick to be able to press forward/backward to
change Up/Down gears instead of Button1/2 And this would be the Best GAME
EVER made. Perhaps in 3/4 years when NFS2 comes out. or TEST DRIVE 4 :)

Sly!

This game need some very fast cars. Bugatti, Porsche 911 Turbo and 959,
Yamaha, Jaguar XJ220, McLaren F1, Vector and of course more Ferraris.

We need cars that really can kick Lamborgini's ass!!!

I'm glad that i'm not the only one having this feeling.

We do also need some drag strips for the ultimate burn-out :)

Question: how do I find the policeman. I want a ticket :)) Mail me if you
know how to get involved with him/her...
